Online Therapy For South African's Living Abroad
Living abroad can bring opportunity, growth, and freedom — and it can also quietly unsettle identity, belonging, and emotional regulation. Many South Africans find that while they are functioning well externally, there is an internal sense of dislocation, grief, or fatigue that is difficult to articulate, particularly in cross-cultural contexts.
I offer online psychotherapy to South Africans living abroad, providing a therapeutic space where cultural context does not need to be explained. My work is grounded in an understanding of South African relational dynamics, family systems, history, and identity formation, alongside the psychological complexities of migration and long-term relocation.

This work may be helpful if you are:
• Living outside South Africa and feeling emotionally disconnected or unrooted
• Navigating identity, belonging, or “in-between” experiences
• Managing relational strain across distance, time zones, or cultures
• Holding unprocessed grief related to leaving home, family, or familiar ways of being
• Seeking therapy with someone who understands your cultural and social context

How sessions work
All sessions are conducted online, allowing continuity of care regardless of geographic location. Therapy is offered in a confidential, professional, and ethically bound setting, in line with HPCSA guidelines.
I work reflectively and collaboratively, tailoring the therapeutic process to your individual needs and circumstances. My approach values depth, curiosity, and emotional safety, without assumptions or promises of specific outcomes.
